In response, Mr. Bashir Ahmad stated that the terrorists’ demands are absurd and that a ransom of ₦40 trillion is excessive. He continued by emphasizing that the Nigerian government must destroy the terrorists and that the media should not have even wasted their time reporting on such “ludicrous” statements.
Mr Bashir Ahmad made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Tuesday afternoon, while reacting to the report.
He wrote: “The demands of these terrorists are absurdly crazy, asking for a N40 trillion ransom. In my opinion, the media should not have even wasted their time giving attention to such ludicrous claims. Nigeria will crush them all.”
