He sent a response to the question on his official X account on Tuesday. He claimed in the article that many people who questioned why he wasn’t giving President Muhammadu Buhari advice didn’t know how the government operated.
Bashir Ahmad said in government, Influence and advice are structured and channeled through various layers. He said when Muhammadu Buhari was president, his role was defined by specific duties and some limitations.
Bashir Ahmad wrote on his page;
“Anytime I make a post, no matter how unrelated, some people will still bring the time I was working in the government and often ask me, ‘Why didn’t you advise the President?’ The workings of the government are not as straightforward as many might think.
