According to the Nigerian Tribune, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has advised Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, not to run against the ruling party in 2027, saying that Obi would be disappointed if he did.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
He said that even his own people, the Igbos, would not support him in 2027, according to him, many people around Obi are deceiving him about his chances.
In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele said President Bola Tinubu is too strong to be defeated by any single candidate.
He advised Obi to join forces with others if he wants to have any chance, adding that standing alone against Tinubu would be a mistake.
He believes that even those who currently support Obi will turn against him, warning that contesting alone would be a waste of time and energy.
“If you think you can stand alone to defeat Tinubu, you are joking. You can’t defeat Tinubu alone because a lot of people are even deceiving you. Don’t waste your energy because even the Igbos won’t be with you this time.”
