Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts and the former executive chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has criticized President Tinubu’s speech regarding the ongoing EndBadGovernance protest in a recent statement that was posted on his official X account. Amadi questioned Tinubu’s commitment to reducing government costs.
Tinubu does not intend to cut cost of government. In spite of being a ‘street boy’, he does not care about the street, just like Buhari who hurt the poor although he was their champion,” Amadi wrote.
Amadi also compared Tinubu to former President Buhari, accusing both leaders of failing to support the poor despite their promises.
The EndBadGovernance protest continues to gain momentum as citizens express their dissatisfaction with the current administration’s performance.
