As Port Harcourt Refinery Halts Operations Few Days After It Was Inaugurated, Kenneth Okonkwo Reacts

According to Punch, the refinery halted operations few days after it was inaugurated by the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, Melee Kyari.

However, Kenneth Okonkwo has now reacted after the report surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle on Sunday, he said there are more than 20 different products that can be obtained from refining crude oil. He said if they refine the product in Nigeria, the country will have enough for consumption and also have surplus for export.

Here is what Kenneth Okonkwo wrote on his official X handle;

“There are more than twenty different products that can be obtained from refining crude oil, which include Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, diesel,  kerosene and jet fuel. If they refine the product in Nigeria, we will have enough for our consumption and have surplus for export. Having enough for our consumption will automatically reduce our imports, thereby conserving our foreign exchange”.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
