Amidst Minister Nyesom Wike’s forceful accusations, Governor Siminialayi Fubara remains silent.

Vanguard reports that Governor Siminialayi Fubara of Rivers State and other high ranking officials in his administration have not replied to grave charges brought out by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has allegedly been excluded from state affairs by the Fubara administration, according to the former governor of Rivers State, who also claims that the party has been effectively marginalized.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Wike also claimed that Fubara is planning to switch to the Action Peoples Party (APP), stating, “The PDP in the state will confront them.”

Despite these claims, Governor Fubara has not made any public comments regarding the allegations.

Efforts to contact Rivers State Commissioner for Information Joseph Johnson for a response were unsuccessful, as calls and texts went unanswered.

Wike’s statements were made during the contentious PDP State Congress held on Saturday under strict security at the party’s state headquarters in Port Harcourt.

The congress took place despite two court orders prohibiting the party from conducting ward, local government, and state congresses.

An interim order from a State High Court in Port Harcourt, issued by Justice Charles Wali, had halted the congresses.

This ruling followed a similar order by Justice Sobere Biambo in a lawsuit filed by 11 dissatisfied PDP members.

Despite the legal obstacles, the PDP proceeded with the congresses, electing delegates to represent Rivers State at the party’s national convention.

In his address at the congress, Wike reaffirmed his loyalty to the PDP, stating he would stay with the party amid the ongoing crisis. He also promised to work towards removing Governor Fubara from office in the 2027 elections.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
