Ali Ndume Loses His Appropriations Role in the Senate Committee Reorganization

Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, takes over as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters, replacing Senator Mohammed Mongono.

Mongono is appointed Chief Whip of the Senate and Vice Chairman of the Appropriation Committee.

Other changes include Senator Ned Nwoko as Chairman of the proposed Committee on Reparation and Repatriation, Senator Ningi retaining his position as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Population Commission, and Senator Simon Lalong as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agricultural Institutions.

Additionally, Senator Musa Mustapha is appointed Chairman of the Senate Committee on Livestock Development, a new ministry created by the federal government.

The reshuffle is seen as a strategic move to reposition the Senate committees for optimal performance.
