Chidi Lloyd has been under heavy fire from Alaye Theophilus, the president of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, for his contributions to the Niger Delta’s independence and growth. He told Chidi Lloyd that he is too small to talk to Edwin Clark and that he should be careful what he says to great people.
He emphasized that any perceived slight against their leader will be met with firm action by the Ijaw Youth Council and the Ijaw ethnic nationality, who will not put up with disrespect against elder statesmen.
He stated during a Channels TV interview, “Chidi Lloyd, in the development and survival and movement for the independence and development of the Niger Delta, has not done even a tenth of what Pa Clark has done.”
“The only time Chidi Lloyd was given the opportunity to be among the Committee of Friends, which was the Rivers House of Assembly, was the only opportunity he got.””And the only opportunity he got was almost to the point of killing somebody in the Rivers State House of Assembly. And that kind of person still has the moral right or the guts to come and talk to someone like Edwin Clark.”
“Let me use this medium to send a strong warning to Chidi Lloyd that Pa Clark is not in his class and from today onward.”
“He should know the words that he will use when addressing the likes of Pa Clark because the IYC, as a council, as youths, will not take it lightly with him.”
