After He Was Asked About The Possibility Of Merging With Elrufai Ahead Of 2027 Election, Obi's Response

In a recent article published by Vanguard, it was revealed that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate for 2023, met briefly with reporters on Sunday while in Gombe State during Ramadan. The former governor addressed a number of queries, including the persistent social media allegation that he and Elrufai are preparing to unite in the upcoming presidential contest. While addressing journalists in Gombe, Obi responded to the question by choosing not to speak further into it but reaffirming his interest in the progress of the nation.

He said; “Well, I’m more interested now in Nigeria’s success today than tomorrow.

‘’We are always concentrating on the election rather than what Nigerians are going through. My commitment is about Nigerians living in a better society, given a better life, and that’s my concern.”
