After Gov Fubara Said God Will Judge Legal Luminaries Turning Law Upside Down, Nyesom Wike Reacts

 

After Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara asserted that God would punish legal luminaries who abuse the law, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike responded. Given his own dubious behaviour, Wike chastises Fubara for having the gall to make such a claim.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He recounted how Fubara had been given the opportunity to lead despite initial reservations, but had proven to be untrustworthy. He expressed gratitude that he and his family had narrowly escaped harm following the betrayal of the Governor. He highlighted the importance of being mindful of the company one keeps and the consequences of entrusting power to the wrong individuals.

He said in a live coverage by TVC, ‘You [Fubara] were sitting down before people and saying, so-called Legal Luminaries are turning the law upside down. What a shame! That is why you have to be careful who you will give power to. CJ Okocha and Sergeant Awuse nearly collapsed that day, and they insisted that, look, we should let this young man [Fubara] run. We never knew we were living with a snake.

But you must continue to thank Almighty God every day that we never died. Ask me, where would I have been today, and where would my wife and my children be, not knowing they were living with a serpent? But God is God.
