After Bola Tinubu Said He Was Among Those Who Protested During The Military Regime, Shehu Sani Reacts

 

One of the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a former lawmaker from Kaduna who served as the National Assembly’s representative for Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani, responded to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s claim that he was one of the protestors during the military dictatorship.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The statement was contained in a report that was posted on the official X handle of SAHARA REPORTERS.

The statement is coming following the nationwide protests that has been scheduled to begin on August 1.

President Tinubu said during the military era, he was part of the group that engaged in peaceful protests.

The president was quoted as saying;

“During the military era, I was part of the group that made our voices heard through peaceful protests, without resorting to destruction.  In as much as we believe that demonstrations are part of democracy, we will never encourage any protests that lead to the destruction of lives and property”.
