The words of Asari Dokubo: “Some of our ancestral fathers are Igbo men, including my own father, Edi Abali in whom I occupy his stool” . The statement that was made by Dokubo has now been met by a response from Kenneth Okonkwo. As stated in the post that he uploaded to his website, he questioned why the Igbo people would not welcome their own people if he admitted that he is of Igbo descent.
Igbos make up more than half of the population of the Niger Delta, according to Okonkwo, who stated that he has long held this belief. On his page, Okonkwo wrote the following: Even the son who had gone astray was welcomed back by his father with open arms. It is difficult to see why the Igbo people would not welcome him if he admitted that he is of Igbo descent. Throughout my whole life, I have had the belief that more than half of the people living in the Niger Delta are Igbo.
