Police are to detain and look into Philip Shaibu, according to requests made by Chris Nehikhare and Crusoe Osagie, representatives of the Edo State administration. According to the Officials, Shaibu, Edo State’s former Deputy Governor, was warned by the police to prevent his supporters from gathering, but he ignored the advice.
Nehikhare stated that Shaibu should be arrested because he no longer holds the position of deputy governor and therefore does not have immunity.
According to Vanguard, Chris Nehikhare said, “The state commissioner of police had an intelligence report and went to the airport to caution him (Shaibu) not to allow his boys to assemble at the airport or anywhere in the state, but he defied the advice.
We had appealed the judgment reinstating him as the deputy governor and filed a stay of execution immediately we got Certified True Copy (CTC) and he was shown the restraining order from the court.
