Speaking during his 60th birthday thanksgiving service at St. Martins’ Catholic Church, Isan Ekiti, Fayemi dismissed the notion of deep-seated animosity between political figures. He cited his relationships with former governors Segun Oni and Ayodele Fayose as examples of the camaraderie that exists beyond party lines.

According to The PUNCH reports, Fayemi said: “All these things you read on social media are for your entertainment,” he said. “Many will wonder why Governor Segun Oni is here. During his birthday, I spent the entire day with him, and Governor Ayodele Fayose too would have been here without hesitation if he was around.”

“The vision we have always had is a state that is not divided by politics. We might belong to different parties, but we all belong to one collective party—the Ekiti Progressive Party,” Fayemi said.

Reflecting on his journey, Fayemi expressed gratitude for reaching 60, calling himself a “product of grace.” He also commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his leadership and support.

President Bola Tinubu, in his tribute, praised Fayemi for his contributions to governance, particularly his role in the 2013 merger that birthed the All Progressives Congress (APC), acknowledging his service amid economic challenges.

Governor Oyebanji described Fayemi’s 60th birthday as a tribute to his leadership and mentorship. “Ekiti people are proud of you,” he said.

The event was attended by prominent figures, including former Governor Niyi Adebayo, Segun Oni, Deputy Governor Monisade Afuye, Speaker Adeoye Aribasoye, and other dignitaries.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
