Adetshina faced significant criticism in South Africa during her bid for the Miss South Africa title due to allegations involving her mother, who is accused of committing fraud and identity theft.

In light of these allegations, the South African Department of Home Affairs stated that preliminary evidence suggests wrongdoing, prompting Adetshina to withdraw from the South African pageant and accept the opportunity to compete for Nigeria.

In response to these developments, the Progressive Forces submitted their petition on October 30, arguing that Adetshina’s involvement could tarnish the integrity of the Miss Universe brand.

Within 24 hours, the petition garnered over 1,000 signatures.

The petition highlights concerns about Adetshina’s eligibility, stating, “We are writing on behalf of everyone who stands for justice to plead with Miss Universe to cancel her entry,” referencing a court order that annulled both Adetshina’s and her mother’s identities.

The situation continues to draw attention as the pageant approaches, raising questions about accountability and representation in international competitions.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
