Chelsea now lead Group B with six points from two matches. Their first win came against Real Madrid, and they followed it up with another convincing display against Twente. Early goals from Aggie Beever-Jones and Maika Hamano, combined with Guro Reiten’s penalty, were enough to secure the victory, despite a late consolation goal from Twente’s Nikee van Djik.
Twente and Real Madrid both have three points each. Twente earned their points from an opening win, but they couldn’t handle Chelsea’s fast-paced and efficient play in their latest match. Real Madrid also has three points, thanks to their win against Celtic.
Celtic, on the other hand, have struggled in the group so far, sitting at the bottom with zero points. They’ve lost both of their opening games, first to Real Madrid and then to Twente. Chelsea will face Celtic next, and given the form the London side is in, it looks like a difficult challenge for the Scottish team.
If Chelsea manage to secure a win in their next match against Celtic, they will be in a very strong position to qualify for the next round. With their defense solid and attack firing on all cylinders, it’s hard to see anyone stopping them at this stage.
