He acknowledged that armed conflict alone would not suffice to reclaim Crimea and reiterated his commitment to continue fighting even if U.S. support were to diminish. However, he lamented that without military funding from the United States, Ukraine would be at a significant disadvantage and could ultimately lose the war against Russia.
He said in an interview with Fox News, ‘I already mentioned that we are ready to bring Crimea back diplomatically. We cannot spend dozens of thousands on our people so they perish for the sake of Crimea to come back. The fact is that we can’t bring it back with arms in our hands. We understand Crimea can be brought back diplomatically.
