As of now, over 91.83% of the election results have been uploaded, with 4,150 out of 4,519 polling units reported.
According to The Nation, the results show the APC leading in Edo North, a traditional stronghold, while the PDP is performing strongly in Edo South.
In Etsako West, the APC received 90 votes, compared to 13 for the LP and 85 for the PDP.
Similar trends were seen in Owan West and Uhunmwonde, where the APC consistently outperformed both the LP and PDP.
Senator Monday Okpebholo of the APC also achieved success in his polling unit, winning with 102 votes against his opponents, including Akpata.
Okpebholo expressed confidence in his support from the local electorate, asserting that the ruling PDP would not receive any votes in his area.
