With Julius Abure, the party’s divided national chairman, revealing the financial details of the Obi-Datti 2023 presidential election campaign, the turmoil engulfing the Labour Party has taken a new turn. Speaking on Monday, September 9, at the party’s emergency National Executive Committee (NEC), Abure revealed that Peter Obi, the front-runner for the LP, was providing financing for the 2023 presidential election. Abure claims that when it came to allocating funds for the party’s operations, the Labour Party was never involved.
