Fubara expressed his support for Eze Chike, stating that he expects the new chairman to face legal challenges from the rival government. He however urged the new chairman to remain calm and carry out his duties in accordance with the law of the state.
According to him, “I won’t be surprised if I leave here and I hear that they have taken you to court or they have gone to seal the council. You know we have two governments now: the Rivers State government and the Abuja government. But whatever it is and for what it is, we must take the decision to show that we are the ones in charge.
