He claimed that just because Rotimi Amaechi previously served as caretaker chairman does not imply that it was legal.
He acknowledged that his position should be recognized as an aberration if the Constitution labels it as such. He demanded that political acts be critically reevaluated to make sure they comply with legal precedents and constitutional demands.
In an interview with Channels TV, he stated, ”I was never part of former Governor Nyesom Wike’s government for the past 8 years. I never participated in his government at any level.”
“It was under Rotimi Amaechi’s term that I became a caretaker committee chairman for 3 months. If the Constitution has said it is an aberration, that is what it is.”
