As the sitting Senator representing Edo Central in the 10th Assembly and a member of the Senate Committee on NDDC, Okpebholo emphasized his intention to implement a bottom-up approach to governing the state. In his own words, he stated, “Unlike what is right now in place in the state’s governance, our administration will be community-driven, fostering a government that the people can connect with—a true people’s administration.”

Expressing disappointment at the lack of infrastructural progress across Edo’s 18 Local Government Areas, the APC candidate assured the public of his commitment to mirror Adams Oshiomhole’s successful infrastructural initiatives. He highlighted a forthcoming urgent intervention in rebuilding roads, schools, and health infrastructures in the state.

“We are fully prepared for this task. As you observe our state, there’s little that you can point to as the significant achievements of the current governor for us,” said Okpebholo. “We will be taking a systematic approach to rectify the neglected roads, schools, and health facilities that the Godwin Obaseki-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government has failed to address.”

Okpebholo further criticized the present administration for not capitalizing on the foundation laid by Adams Oshiomhole, emphasizing that had they built upon it, Edo would have been on par with developed states like Lagos.
