In a recent report by The Sun, Rhodes Vivour mentioned that there was a time when APGA had a candidate running for governor in Lagos but this candidate did not get many votes. He said If the Igbo people wanted to control Lagos, they could have supported this candidate strongly, but they did not. He argued that there is no reason to believe that the Igbo are trying to take control of Lagos. He also called for unity and understanding among the diverse groups living in Lagos
