He noted that due to the military intervention in the South East, the populace has been encouraged to resume their lawful businesses on Mondays. Addressing the security measures in the South-South region, he highlighted a notable increase in crude oil production. He stated that the output has risen from approximately 900,000 barrels to 1 million barrels per day. According to the COAS, the improvements in both the South East and South-South underscore the Armed Forces’ role in enhancing regional stability and economic productivity.
He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”In the South East, the issue of illegal sit at home is a thing of the past. IPOB no longer comes on its channel to announce a Sit-At-Home in the South East. Normally they always do that every Monday and they order that there will be a Sit-At-Home. But today they have reinforced it in the mind of their people that after so many months, they should go about their lawful businesses on Mondays.”
Speaking about how the Armed Forces handled Security in the South-South, he said, ”In the South-South, there has been an increase in the Crude oil output from about 900,000 to 1 million barrels per day.
