He used the phrase “Emilokan effect,” which he used to characterize an entitlement mentality, to explain Dr. Edu’s behavior. Lawal also said that he would act in the same way if he ever found himself in Mrs. Betta Edu’s shoes.

He explained that the ministers were chosen based on the Emilokan philosophy, suggesting that they view their positions as opportunities for personal gain.

According to him, “It’s the Emilokan effect. It is my turn, not for me to share with anybody; it is my turn. They (the ministers) are 48; they were chosen because of the Emilokan philosophy, so it’s my turn.
