He blamed the President and his policies for this rift, implying that the President is putting his agenda focused on Lagos ahead of the interests of the country. In light of the President’s recent measures, he advised Nigerians to let go of their animosity for the Southwest.
He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”The country is more divided than it has ever been united. If you ask me who caused that? It’s all down to the President and his policies and he’s running his Lagos agenda at the centre.
People are even blaming the entire Yoruba nation as if there’s some kind of Yorubanization. I appeal to all Nigerians on behalf of everyone in the South West, the only agenda Tinubu is running is his Lagos agenda. Take all the other Yoruba states out of it, he’s doing it according to himself and his boys. Please do not begin to hate us for policies that obviously show that they favor only himself, his family, and his allies. In terms of whether the economy is doing well. We shouldn’t deceive ourselves, it not doing well.”
A few months ago some members of the ruling All Progressive Congress [APC] have accused the President Bola Tinubu of lopsided appointments in his administration.
