Social media users have responded in a variety of ways to reports that some Gombe state people were seen praising Peter Gregory Obi, the former governor of Anambra state. One of the team members that accompanied Peter Obi to the state, Dr. Moses Paul, posted a video on his official X feed showing the people celebrating the arrival of the Labour Party (LP) candidate for the 2023 presidential election. In the post that Dr. Moses Paul made on his page, he said after Peter Obi arrived in the state, he donated a borehole to residents in Kofar Gidan community and also provided financial assistant to over 100 individuals in the community.
He wrote on his page;
“Feel the energy as Peter Obi and his team move into Gombe, actively engaging the community. Provided and overseeing the installation of a borehole in the Kofar Gidan community, Gombe State. Additionally, providing financial assistance to over 100 individuals. This impactful initiative is part of a nationwide tour aimed at fostering positive change. Together, they are demonstrating that a new Nigeria is indeed possible”.
