However, in a report by Daily Trust Okocha accused Fubara of plotting illegality. He alleged that Fubara intends to get a court order declaring the Rivers State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Martins Amaewhule, as illegitimate. He claimed that Fubara intends to appoint caretaker committees to oversee the local government areas in the state after getting a court to declare the lawmakers as illegitimate. He vowed that the people of Rivers State would resist Fubara’s moves.
