After more than two years in captivity, Amina said in a video that Channels TV just posted on YouTube that she and her infant daughter were the first to escape. Amina recalled how Boko Haram raided their school in 2014 as she and her classmates were preparing for the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and snatched them. She claimed that after being brought to the infamous Sambisa jungle, they were imprisoned there.
In Amina’s words: “I am the first girl who escaped from captivity with a baby girl, so I escaped in the year 2016 so I did 2 years and some months in captivity. The only thing I can remember in 2014 is that we were all in school writing our SSCE exams before Boko Haram came abducted us and moved to Sambisa forest where they kept us”.
