In an interview with Silverbird TV, Peter described the terrifying event in which sixteen people were abducted and how the military’s prompt action prevented bandits from entering his home and endangering the lives of him and his family.

He said the bandits typically attack around 9 in the night and abduct their victims before disappearing into the bush. He said compounding the issue is the lack of proper roads in the community, making it challenging for security personnel to respond swiftly to incidents

In Peter’s words: “When they [bandits] entered my house, I was so lucky that military men were able to arrive on time, that was what saved me and my family’s life that very day. The bandits normally come around 9 in the night. They will pick their victims and enter the bush. What makes the matter worse is that in the Gonin Gora community, we don’t have access to roads.
