The Senate President reportedly said that each of the 36 state governors received N30 billion in hardship payments, according to PREMIUM TIMES. The fact that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde refuted his statement shortly after he said it is no longer news.
However, Bashir Ahmad has now reacted to the report. In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he said the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio has apologized to all the state governors for making the statement.
Bashir Ahmad wrote on his official X handle;
