A Tipper lorry conveyed my wife & I on our wedding day because I wanted people to talk of it—According to Osuagwu

Veteran Nollywood actor Victor Osuagwu has disclosed the reason behind his and his wife’s conveyance on their wedding day in 2012 by means of a Tipper lorry. He said he chose to use a double axle tipper lorry in Rivers State to make a distinctive entry with his wife in instead of being married in a traditional wedding automobile. In an interview with Punch, Osuagwu explained that his intention was to create something memorable and talked about. He said during their church wedding, a decorated tipper lorry arrived at the compound for their photo session and when it was time to leave for the reception, he surprised his wife by informing her that the tipper lorry would be their mode of transport to the reception. He said despite her initial surprise, his wife eagerly climbed aboard, along with their best man, Francis Duru, and his wife.

According to Osuagwu, the unconventional mode of transportation sparked excitement among the guests and as the tipper lorry made its way from Port Harcourt to Chioba, it attracted a long convoy of well-wishers joining in the celebration. He described his wedding as more entertaining than he had expected, highlighting the joy and fun shared by all who attended.
