Reportedly, the Rivers State Police Command verified the passing of infamous cult leader Gift Okpara, also known as 2Baba, who was thought to be responsible for the untimely death of Superintendent Bako Angbashim, a former Divisional Police Officer, in September 2023. The confirmation came after Gift Opara, the head of the Iceland cult, was allegedly murdered in a joint operation in the Idu-Ekpeye town. In a video shared on YouTube by Channels TV, the Chairman of Ahoada LGA, Ben Eke, affirmed the identity of the deceased in a video, stating, “To the best of my knowledge, this is Gift Opara.” He referred to distinguishing features like tattoos on Gift Opara’s left hand from photographs. Eke expressed happiness, stating that businesses can now thrive without the notorious cult leader’s presence in the community
