The timing of the arrest of Barrister Julius Abure, the chairman of the Labour Party, two days prior to the Labour Party primary election in Edo state, has drawn criticism from Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the party’s director of media and publicity. He unequivocally declared that the conditions under which Abure was taken into custody by the authorities were abhorrent.
