Senator Shehu Sani responded by pointing out that it is within the bounds of democratic rights to criticize the government and its policies. He also stated that it is intolerable and completely condemnable for a religious cleric to call for the assassination of First Lady Remi Tinubu.
This revelation was made by Senator Shehu Sani in a post that he published on his official X handle on Thursday afternoon in response to the cleric’s purported statement.
He wrote: “Criticising the Government and its policies is within the ambit of democratic rights; but Calling for the killing of Senator Remi Tinubu by the religious cleric is unacceptable and utterly condemnable.”
Recall that a certain video recently went viral on social media platforms. On the said video a Muslim cleric described Nigeria’s first lady, Remi Tinubu, as an infidel and an unbeliever who should be killed.
