He continued, “Instead of importing rice into Nigeria, I advise FG to allow us to import paddy rice. I advise this because our farms are unsafe. We already have mills in Nigeria. Lagos State has the largest mill, even though I doubt if it is operating at the right capacity. We have large mills in the north-east, north-west, and north-central. Nasarawa State is another example. How do we allow these mills to become functional? This is not limited to rice but to major produce for which we lack sufficient output.
