Economic Hardship: Mixed Responds As Tinubu's Daughter Begs Nigerians To Be Patient With Her Father

Speaking to reporters at the Aljamahatul Qadiriyyah Islamic Movement’s 2024 Mawlid Nabiyy in Lagos State, Alhaja Folashade Tinubu-Ojo encouraged Nigerians to hold onto their expectations and conveyed her faith that things will improve.

According to the report by Daily Trust, the Iyaloja General was turbaned Iya Adinni of Qadiriyyah in Nigeria and Africa. The decoration, according to the report, was done for her contributions to the development of Islam.

The Iyaloja General begged Nigerians that her father is making efforts to address the sufferings that the masses are facing.

She added that the economic challenges are not just being faced in Nigeria alone, but it is being felt all over the world.

Speaking at the event which took place at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, she said, “My message to all Nigerians is to please exercise a little more patience. Everything will be alright, it’s just a matter of time. We need to keep our hope alive. There is an economic downturn all over the world, and not in Nigeria alone. But we pray Allah will see us through.”

The statement from the Iyaloja General has been generating mixed reactions from members of the public, with many saying that Nigerians have been patient with the political leaders for long, and that they need real change now.
