Protester "We Voted Tinubu To Make Corrections To Buhari's Wrong But The Problem Has Gone Out Of Hand"

Oyo State citizens have protested against the nation’s economic suffering by taking to the streets.

While speaking to newsmen, one of the protesters identified as Barakat said that things have gone out of hand, and lamented that feeding has now become a big challenge.

Barakat said that they voted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into power to right the wrongs of the former administration, but that things have gotten out of hand now.

Barakat said, “Everything is going out of hand. We can’t even complete two square meals. We voted Tinubu so that he can make corrections to Buhari’s wrong but the problem has gone out of hand now.”

Another protester who did not disclose his identity said that the economic hardship is affecting everyone, and urged Nigerians to speak up for their right. He said that they can no longer afford three square meals.

He said, “Sections 39 and 40 of the country’s constitution empower every Nigerian to organize peaceful assembly and to speak about the economic hardship. This protest is a continuous action, so expect protest from any angle. It is not about me alone but about Nigerians. We must collectively fight for this and make sure that things are brought back to normalcy.”
