According to Bello, they tied up and gagged Ms. Gbenle after she refused to give up her cars, as reported by the Nigerian Tribune. He claimed that because she knew who he was, they chose to kill her over the protests of one of the gang members. He said that Ms. Gbenle’s death was caused by another gang member, Bisiriyu, who twisted her neck.
The suspects also confessed to robbing the deceased of her two cars and other valuables before they killed her to protect the identity of the gang leader, Bello, who lives in the neighborhood.
