In a video that Sahara TV posted to YouTube, Sani discussed his thoughts from the past and today and pointed out that not much has changed since he was there. He related his experience of being in the prison during campaigner Ken Saro-Wiwa’s execution. He claimed that, except from the inmates’ uniforms changing from white to navy blue, he had not noticed any significant changes at the prison since his last visit.
In Sani’s words: “I was in Port Harcourt prison when Saro-Wiwa was hanged, I went there and nothing has changed. The only that had changed was that in our time, we wore white uniforms and today they are wearing Navy blue.
