Former senator Shehu Sani recently disclosed an incident that occurred in the 1990s while he was incarcerated at Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison. In a recent video that Sahara TV posted to YouTube, Sani described how Obasanjo said that it was his first time attending the prison and that he didn’t know why he was being held there while they were being led to their cells with blankets and plates in hand.

In Sani’s words: “In 1990s when I was taken to Kirikiri prison, it was first time I found myself close to Obasanjo who asked me who am I.
