He underlined the need for caution when approaching particular kinds of cars in an interview with Channels TV. He cautioned people to be wary of vehicles that had two people in the front and three people in the back, including a woman. He advised against getting into such cars since they frequently represent the infamous “One Chance” robberies.
To identify potential risks, the Commissioner highlighted certain characteristics of these vehicles. He mentioned that “One Chance” operators often use defective plate numbers that are challenging to read. Additionally, the doors of these vehicles can only be opened from the inside, not outside, serving as a red flag for potential victims.
Moreover, Igweh pointed out that many of these vehicles employ rubber tint on their windows during operations, which is later removed. These distinctive features serve as key indicators for individuals to remain cautious and avoid falling victim to such crimes.
