Shuaibu Tijani, a resident of Kogi State, told Vanguard that he was not convinced by an okada man’s account of Wigwe’s death until he read about it online. He called the late financial mogul’s passing “shocking.”

He said that the last time Wigwe came to the construction site he was joking and playing with everybody. He said that whenever he came around, he would always want to listen to everyone and find out if they had any problems. He said that if anyone had any problem, he would solve it right there for the person.

Speaking further, the man who is a father of two said that Wigwe was like a messiah to everyone.

He said that even though he is not from Rivers State, Wigwe sent a bag of rice to his landlady who is a widow. He said he learnt that Wigwe distributed rice and ram to everyone in the community every Christmas.

He said, “I am not a Rivers man. Last December, he sent a bag of rice to my landlady who is a widow. They said that was what he did every year. He gave rice and ram to everybody. He fed the entire kingdom. He took your problem as his problem. He was our messiah.”

Herbert Wigwe, the Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, died when a chopper he was in crashed in the United States. He died alongside his wife and son. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
