The speech was delivered by the monarch, according to VANGUARD, to attendees of the sixth executive meeting of the Northern Traditional Council Committee in Kaduna state.
He said with the current hardship, insecurity, poverty and unemployment confronting the nation, it is getting to a point where they could no longer pacify the people from agitating.
The Sultan of Sokoto was quoted as saying;
“I pray to Almighty Allah that they will not one day wake up and say we no longer believe in you that would be the biggest problem. We can’t continue to keep these people quiet as traditional, spiritual leaders and diplomats forever.
