Yusuf called on the Nigerian army and police to locate the source of the more than thirty bullet shells, each of which had a serial number, that he had disclosed to them. He insisted on knowing who provided the bullets, where they had been used most recently, and who had actually received them. Additionally, he claimed that a significant quantity of ammo is used by kidnappers every time they attack his village. He also expressed concern about the necessity of stepping up security measures.

In Yusuf’s words: “I have bullet shells not less than 30 with serial number, army and police should tell me who supplied the bullets, where was the last place he dropped those bullets, where was the armorer who received them because for those bullets to have been in circulation— Do you know that kidnapper shoot more bullets than the army? Whenever they invade our community they shoot more bullets than police and army.
