The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu, has asserted that Igbo students must meet tougher entrance standards for law or medical school. In addition to stressing the underrepresented Igbo community in the president’s ministry appointments, he made this claim in an interview with Arise TV. Iwuanyanwu contended that the Southeast should have been granted eight ministerial positions, as per the federal character principle, but only five of the 48 ministerial positions were given to the region.
