After Simon Ekpa Accused Her Of Helping Biafra Secure $57.5 Billion Loan, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Reacts

 

Following Simon Ekpa’s accusation that she assisted Biafra in obtaining a $57.5 billion loan from the World Bank and IMF, Nigerian economist and World Trade Organization (WTO) Director General Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala responded. According to Simon Ekpa;

“The World Bank and IMF have agreed to loan the sum of $57.5 billion to Biafra Republic Government In Exile (BRGIE) to form our government after December 2nd 2024 declaration of Biafra. I thank our sister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for helping me to facilitate the loan”.

However, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has now reacted to the statement. In a post that she made on her page on Thursday, she said no sensible person will believe what is contained in the tweet. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said the statement is false.

Here is what she wrote on her official X handle;
