Speaking in Port Harcourt, Wike expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs, though he emphasized that all he wanted was for Damagum to complete the tenure of former chairman Iyorchia Ayu. He also warned his supporters about placing trust in certain individuals within the party, noting his lack of confidence in some who initially agreed with him on the matter.
