Concerned PDP League National Leader Daboikiabo Warmate dismissed the notion of a crisis within the PDP, saying that the party is simply being scrutinised more because it is still the only major political force in Nigeria today, and that the party’s history since 1999 has always garnered attention, making any action it takes newsworthy. He attributed the unrest to the sponsorship of these elements by the Governor of Rivers State, accusing the governor of attempting to create chaos within the party. He implied that the situation is more about political maneuvering than an actual crisis.
He said in an interview with Trust TV, “We don’t really have crisis. We are just being talked about because we are the only party that exists today in Nigeria. We know the history of PDP right from 1999, so whatever we do makes news, that is just it. So we don’t really have crisis.
