When Nigerians talk about how the Igbos were attacked during the Lagos elections, it makes me angry, says FayoseFormer governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose has stated that he gets upset when Nigerians mention that the Igbo were assaulted during the governorship election in Lagos, even though attacks took place all around the country.

He continued by saying he takes offense when people mention how Igbos were attacked during the Lagos elections because no one has come up to support his assertions that violence happened in Kano, Kaduna, and most of the northeastern states.

He stated:

ā€œI get angry whenever Nigerians talk about how the Igbos were attacked during the Lagos elections. Let me be clear: I am not implying that everything was fine in Lagos. It was like that all over.

It was expected. No one from the Northwest or Northeast should ever come and tell me that nothing happened there. I want to tell you the truth, most of the things that happened in Lagos, happened in everywhere, so let us not single out lagos, Kano, Kaduna, we are still in same attitude that happened in 1979″…
